Your Opportunity Stantec’s North Carolina transportation practice is looking for an experienced Roadway Design Engineer to join our Raleigh team. Your Key Responsibilities Get the chance to work on a variety of transportation improvement projects with Stantec’s structural engineers, traffic engineers, roadway engineers, transportation planners and environmental scientists. You will be part of an experienced roadway team designing and delivering a range of transportation projects, including roundabouts, intersection improvements, bridge and interchange designs, in addition to bike/ped facilities and greenway/trail designs. Your Capabilities and Credentials Assist in the development of design plans for transportation projects. Self-starter with the ability to work with a team of designers to successfully deliver projects. Learn from senior project engineers or project managers. Experience performing work which involves conventional types of plans, investigations, surveys, structures, or equipment. Experience performing engineering calculations, interpreting engineering drawings and specifications, and assisting with proposal preparation. Ability to support and coordinate work with multiple engineering disciplines, as well as drafting/CADD work for the project. Support the preparation of progress reports and may supervise small projects. Proficiency with Bentley’s OpenRoads Designer (ORD) software Good communication skills, multi-tasking, attentiveness to detail. Open to learn new skills and interface with multiple project managers. Pay Transparency: In compliance with pay transparency laws, pay ranges are provided for positions in locations where required. Please note, the final agreed upon compensation is based on individual education, qualifications, experience, and work location. At Stantec certain roles are bonus eligible. Actual compensation for part-time roles will be pro-rated based on the agreed number of working hours per week.
