Description Position Overview The Roar Store Coordinator is a highly organized and customer-service-oriented individual responsible for the daily operations of the school store. This role ensures a welcoming environment for students, families, and faculty while managing inventory, processing sales, and maintaining a well-stocked and inviting shop. The Coordinator works closely with the Auxiliary Programs Coordinator to ensure the store reflects the needs and desires of the school community. Key Responsibilities Store Operations & Sales Manage the daily opening and closing of the roar store, ensuring a professional and collaborative environment. Operate the cash register and point-of-sale (POS) system with high attention to detail and accuracy. Provide exceptional customer service to students, faculty, and parents, assisting them with finding items and placing special orders. Monitor the store entrance and welcome all visitors with a proactive and helpful attitude. Inventory & Merchandising Maintain and restock shelves regularly to ensure a full and organized display of merchandise. Order and maintain necessary office and store supplies as needed. Conduct regular inventory counts to ensure records remain accurate and up-to-date. Collaboration & Strategy Partner with the Auxiliary Programs Coordinator to identify replenishment needs for orders and assist with selecting new merchandise. Advise leadership on sales trends, identifying "best-sellers" and reporting on specific items requested by the community. Assist in managing the store's administrative and event budgets to ensure fiscal responsibility. Requirements Qualifications Experience: 3–5 years of experience in retail, administrative support, or a related customer-facing role. Interpersonal Skills: Exceptional communication skills and the ability to interact warmly with children and adults alike. Technical Proficiency: Comfortable using POS systems, MS Office Suite, and Google Suite. Self-Management: A proactive self-starter who can prioritize tasks independently and work with limited direction. Schedule: Ability to commit to a 20-hour weekly schedule. Key Qualities Relational: Enjoys working in a dynamic school environment and building trust with the community. Organized: Possesses a strong attention to detail regarding both physical stock and financial transactions. Discreet: Maintains confidentiality regarding student accounts and school information.
