ROASTING & QUALITY MANAGER – ALLPRESS ESPRESSO

Responsibilities

We’re on the lookout for an experienced and passionate Roasting & Quality Manager to join our Melbourne site. This is a vital role responsible for making sure our coffee continues to taste exceptional every single day.
You’ll lead and manage the roasting and quality operations, ensuring smooth production scheduling, strong quality control, and preventative maintenance across our roasting equipment. You’ll work closely with our green bean team, support site operations, and act as a key voice in upholding Allpress’s flavour and quality standards.

You will:

  • Lead, train, and coach team members across roasting and quality operations
  • Own roasting schedules and green bean inventory management at the site
  • Champion quality control processes including tastings, cuppings, grading and reporting
  • Oversee roasting plant performance and preventative maintenance plans
  • Troubleshoot equipment issues and manage external technical relationships
  • Collaborate with internal stakeholders, including coffee, operations and commercial teams
  • Drive continuous improvement in efficiency, sustainability, and product consistency
  • Support and implement food safety, HACCP, and quality certification standardsBe a flavour guardian, making sure our coffee consistently meets our high expectations
