Role Summary: As a Robot Assembly Technician/Technologist, you will be responsible for the timely assembly of the SWR & NovAI ensuring it is built to the highest standard of quality. The successful candidate will have prior experience in mechanical and electrical assembly and be capable of reading engineering drawings and schematics. The Robot Assembly Technician/Technologist is a critical link in the operations team and will enable the success of the SWR and NovAI with our clients. Responsibilities : * Assembly of mechanical and electrical systems * Follow drawings, schematics and procedures to assemble and test parts * Perform quality checks on parts and assemblies * Cohesive communication with Supply Chain to coordinate parts needed for production * Maintain a clean and clutter free workspace * Assist in the disassembly and crating of products * Work closely with the Engineering team to assist in resolving product/process issues * Other duties as assigned Qualifications and Experience : Minimum Required Qualifications and Experience: * Technical training and/or diploma in a related field (mechanical, robotics, mechatronics, electronics or similar) * Good motor skills and the ability to do fine mechanical assembly including: Rotary shafts, bolted connections, precision fits, mechanical hand and power tools * Experience working with electrical assemblies including: Electrical panel building, stripping, crimping, and terminating wires, electrical hand and power tools * Ability to read and carefully follow mechanical and electrical engineering drawings and instructions * Conduct mechanical and electrical inspections for incoming and outgoing parts. * Experience in troubleshooting mechanical and electrical systems * Strong written and verbal English communication skills * Capable of working independently to a firm production schedule * Ability to work in an open and honest group on how to improve designs, systems and processes * Skilled at using PC based computer software Preferred Additional Qualifications and Experience: * Mechanical assembly: 3 years (Preferred) * Electrical system assembly: 2+ years (Preferred) * Forklift use experience * Fieldwork and equipment installation experience * Ability to occasionally work long days as required to meet production targets * PLC Programming experience * MIG Welding experience About Novarc Technologies: Novarc Technologies is a full-stack robotics company specializing in the design and manufacturing of cobots and AI-based machine vision solutions for autonomous welding. Novarc’s Spool Welding Robot [http://www.novarctech.com/spool-welding-robot/] (SWR) is the world’s first of its kind in pipe welding applications.
