SoftBank Robotics America, Inc. is seeking a Robot Deployment Specialist for our Boston location. The ideal candidate is self-motivated and able to lead technical deployments for commercial robots, onsite with our clients throughout the United States. You will work in a variety of environments (such as Senior Living, Universities, Airports, Class A office space, and hospitality venues) and execute training and mapping activities based on defined plans. Each client and location is different so the ability to adjust and accommodate different learning styles and environmental challenges is a must to deliver exceptional deployment experiences. Each deployment must be well documented in a timely fashion and solid communication skills are required. The ideal candidate will be a "robot evangelist" with the ability to articulate the benefits of robots and workforce augmentation and the skills to teach non-technical staff the ease of working with our robotic solutions. Requirements Install and program robotic equipment at customer sites across the US Train and educate the end user in proper usage and maintenance of the equipment Diagnose and offer solutions to problems in the field. (Technical and Logistical) Create follow-up documentation regarding installation at customer site Occasional work may be required on weekends, scheduled in advance Nighttime hours may be required for specific deployments 75% of working hours (about 3 weeks out of the month) Determine the root cause of client issues, selecting and explaining the best solution Be responsible for company resources and equipment Work closely with other team members to continue to elevate delivery methodology and training capabilities Having a strong teamwork mindset, smart solutioning and problem-solving skills, and customer success commitment is required Technical Skills: The technical skills below will be required to effectively do the job. While not all skills are required at the beginning of employment, proficiency in these skills is a plus: Strong MS office, Asana, Jira, Slack, and Salesforce knowledge Proficiency in data analysis and reporting Basic knowledge of networks, Wi-Fi, and cellular networks Qualifications: While no single candidate may embody all the qualifications below, an ideal candidate will possess many of the following skills and abilities: Two to three years of technical service and troubleshooting experience (commercial robots preferred) Bachelor's degree in a related field (preferred) Excellent written and verbal skills in English? Spanish is a plus, but not required Curiosity, and a passion for learning Strong interpersonal, presentation, and communication skills Additional: The ability to lift more than 50 pounds without assistance Able to stand on your feet for 8 hours and during some deployments walk upwards of 15k steps (not physical stairs) Valid driver's license and current passport, with the flexibility and willingness to travel by plane and car as needed This position is an onsite position and requires being onsite at our Boston office on those days when you are not onsite with clients or conducting deployment assignments Ability to work evenings/nights, travel may be up to 75% Must be able to successfully pass a nation-wide financial credit and background check Participation in a random drug testing program may be required SoftBank Robotics America prides itself on being an equal opportunity workplace.
