Description

One of our clients, a high-end automotive manufacturer is currently seeking a Robotic Paint Process Technician to support the production of a premium, low-volume performance vehicle.
This role involves operating and maintaining robotic paint systems, specifically two FANUC P-250iB pedestal robots mounted on GUDEL rails. You will apply precision coatings including sealer, base coat, and clear coat, ensuring high-quality finishes in a specialized, automated paint booth environment.

QUALIFICATIONS AND SKILLS:

  • Minimum 2 years of experience in a robotic paint shop environment within automotive or Tier 1 supplier settings
  • Familiarity with paint process areas such as Sealer, Topcoat, Clear Coat, and Paint Mix Room
  • Strong understanding of FANUC PAINTOOL and Allen-Bradley Ethernet/Safety PLCs
  • Proven ability to work in a quality-driven, fast-paced manufacturing environment
  • Excellent troubleshooting, communication, and organizational skills

Responsibilities
  • Operate and maintain robotic paint booths for high-end automotive production
  • Program FANUC P-250iB/15 Robots with R-30iB Plus “A” size cabinet
  • Apply solvent-based 2K sealer, color base coat, and clear coat finishes
  • Maintain paint process equipment and power & free conveyor systems
  • Troubleshoot and resolve paint process issues to meet quality and productivity targets
  • Analyze data to determine root causes and implement solutions
  • Support paint line operations and ensure adherence to Process Control Plans
  • Collaborate with engineering and production teams for continuous improvement
