Job Summary The Robotic Welder Operator is responsible for operating, monitoring, and maintaining robotic welding equipment to produce high-quality welded components in accordance with engineering specifications, safety standards, work instructions and production schedules. This role supports efficient manufacturing operations by ensuring consistent weld quality and minimal downtime. Requirements Key Responsibilities Set up, operate, and monitor robotic welding systems and peripheral equipment Load and unload parts, fixtures, and materials accurately and safely Inspect welded parts for quality, dimensions, and defects using gauges and visual inspection Perform minor program adjustments and parameter changes as required Conduct routine preventive maintenance and basic troubleshooting on robotic welding equipment Identify welding issues (porosity, misalignment, incomplete welds) and report or correct them Follow work instructions, blueprints, and welding symbols Maintain accurate production and quality records Comply with safety, quality, and housekeeping (5S) standards Collaborate with maintenance, engineering, and quality teams to improve processes Required Qualifications High school diploma or GED (technical training preferred) Experience operating robotic welding systems or automated manufacturing equipment Basic knowledge of welding processes (MIG, TIG, spot welding, etc.) Ability to read blueprints, weld symbols, and work instructions Pass basic HYDAC weld test within 90 days of hire date Familiarity with Metric System Strong attention to detail and quality Preferred Qualifications Certification in welding or robotic welding operation Experience with robot brands such as Fanuc Basic knowledge of robotic programming or teach pendant operation Physical Requirements Ability to stand for extended periods Lift up to 50 lbs. Perform repetitive tasks and manual handling Work Environment Manufacturing/production floor Exposure to noise, heat, welding fumes, and moving machinery Shift work, overtime, or weekend work may be required Safety and Personal Protective Equipment Must adhere to all safety rules in force for the location you are in while performing your job responsibilities. This includes at a customer or supplier location. Must meet requirements for PPE in specific manufacturing areas when you are in those areas including safety shoes and safety glasses.
