Position Overview We are seeking a highly motivated Robotic Welding Co-bot Technician to join our steel fabrication team. This role is responsible for setting up, operating and maximizing utilization of robotic welding at WPI. Key Responsibilities: Own the co-bot welding process and utilize it fully. Program, set up, and operate robotic welding machines. Develop and optimize welding programs and parameters to hit WPS and customer specifications. Identify continuous improvement opportunities and implement solutions. Conduct regular maintenance and troubleshooting of robotic welding system. Maximize robot uptime and efficiency. Load and prep parts into fixturing. Collaborate with manufacturing engineering to plan, execute and refine welding projects. Hand weld and grind as needed. Meet production schedule for co-bot station. Qualifications and Requirements: Understanding of welding principles and proven history of weld experience. Willingness to learn a new technology and have a passion for robotics. Ability to read and interpret blueprints and WPI's WPS Ability to read, write, and communicate in English Problem solving and attention to detail. Basic math skills and Geometry Preferred Skills: Experience with robotic welding systems. Knowledge and understanding of G1-G4 welding procedures.
