About the Role Applied Materials is seeking a dynamic and technically proficient Robotics Automation Engineer Manager to lead robotics innovation within our warehouse operations. This newly created role will be based in Singapore and will play a pivotal part in establishing and managing a Cobot Lab focused on automating the build of robotics solutions for custom packing boxes for high-volume daily shipments. The ideal candidate will possess a strong foundation in robotics engineering, hands-on experience with robotic arms and end-of-arm tooling, and a proven ability to manage cross-functional projects from concept to deployment. Key Responsibilities Robotics Lab : Design, configure, and test collaborative robotic (Cobot) systems for packaging automation. Develop and validate robotic arm setups and tooling for real-world packaging use cases. Ensure operational reliability, safety, and scalability. Solution Development: Architect and implement robotics systems for material handling, sorting, and inventory workflows. Conduct feasibility studies, prototyping, and performance validation. Project Management: Lead robotics automation projects across warehouse operations. Collaborate with internal teams and external partners to deliver integrated solutions. Manage timelines, budgets, and stakeholder communications. Qualifications Education: Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Robotics, Automation Engineering, Mechatronics, or a related field. Experience & Skills: Hands-on experience with configuring robotic arms and end-of-arm tools. Proven track record in robotics system integration and testing. Strong project management and cross-functional collaboration skills. Familiarity with industrial automation standards and safety protocols. Preferred Attributes Experience with collaborative robots (Cobots) in logistics or manufacturing environments. Exposure to automation in large-scale warehouse operations.
