Swift Robotics is a UK-based robotics company designing and manufacturing intelligent service robots entirely in the UK. We combine robotics, embedded systems, and artificial intelligence to build advanced platforms for safety, monitoring, and interaction in real-world environments. Our mission is to deliver impactful, autonomous systems that support healthcare and other public sectors.We are looking for an AI/Software Engineer to help us bring intelligent perception and natural interaction to our robots.

THE ROLE

You will design and develop AI-powered capabilities including anomaly detection, behaviour analysis, and natural language processing. This work will feed into our robot’s human-interaction systems, as well as background monitoring and alerting tools. You’ll help integrate machine learning models into embedded platforms and contribute to real-time performance on edge devices.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

• Develop and train machine learning models for anomaly detection and behaviour recognition
• Work on natural language processing pipelines for voice and conversational interaction
• Deploy AI models to edge computing platforms such as NVIDIA Jetson (Nano/Orin)
• Optimise inference performance and memory usage for real-time applications
• Integrate AI systems with robot middleware (e.g. ROS 2)
• Collaborate across software, robotics, and hardware teams for full-system integration
