Hyster-Yale Materials Handling, Inc, a world-class manufacturer of industrial lift trucks, has an outstanding opportunity for an exceptional and talented Robotics Field Engineer I-III based at our Greenville, NC location.

What you will do:

  • Prepare robotic vehicles for customer delivery, including calibration, factory acceptance testing, and safety checks.
  • Troubleshoot and repair electro-mechanical issues to maintain optimal system performance.
  • Commission and validate systems on-site, including wireless communication surveys, safety assessments, and software interface testing.
  • Create clear technical documentation and deliver hands-on operator training to customers.
  • Lead or assist with customer acceptance testing during pre-delivery and on-site installation phases.
  • Support virtual testing and commissioning activities.
  • Track system performance and uptime, analyzing issues for long-term improvements.
  • For Level I: Provide support to more senior Field Engineers (II–IV) on projects and service calls.

What you will need:

Level I:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Engineering
  • Associate’s degree with 1 year of relevant experience
  • 7 years of industry experience in lieu of a degree

Level II:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Engineering with 2 years of relevant experience
  • 7 years of industry experience in lieu of a degree

Level III:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Engineering with 3 years of relevant experience

Skills, Experience, & Abilities

  • Troubleshooting:
  • Experience with electro-mechanical systems
  • Ability to read and understand electrical schematics, wiring diagrams, 3D models, and mechanical assembly drawings
  • Familiarity with wireless communication systems
  • Technical:
  • Proficiency with Windows operating systems
  • Experience in device programming
  • Understanding of networking concepts, hardware, and software
  • Knowledge of wireless technologies
  • Communication:
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills in English
  • Ability to remain professional and composed in challenging situations
  • Experience interacting directly with customers in technical environments
