Description
mimic is an early-stage deep tech robotics & AI start-up, backed by leading VCs and based in Zurich. We empower industry workers by automating tedious manual tasks and tackling labor shortages with our versatile automation platform. Combining dexterous robotic hands with AI trained on human observations, we bring a new level of AI embodiment to the real world. The Role As a Robotics Intern, you’ll work directly with our robotics and AI teams to develop, deploy and test infrastructure for teleoperation and learning in the context of dexterous robotic manipulation. This is a highly practical role for someone who loves problem-solving, learning by doing, and being part of a multidisciplinary robotics team. What You’ll Do Contribute to our robotics software stack with patches and enhancements. Debug and fix in-house systems and setups. Design and test simple software or hardware solutions independently. Collaborate closely with the robotics and AI teams. Lead a small research or experimental side project of your own design. What We’re Looking For Software development skills (Python/C++), practical experience with ROS2. Solid understanding of robotics fundamentals and hardware basics. Strong debugging and problem-solving mindset. Self-governance and initiative in technical tasks. Easygoing, collaborative attitude — we value good energy as much as technical skill.
Responsibilities
As a Robotics Intern, you will contribute to the robotics software stack, debug in-house systems, and design and test software or hardware solutions. You will also collaborate with the robotics and AI teams and lead a small research or experimental side project.
