Your mission We are looking for a hands-on Robotics Software Engineer to join our robotics development team. You will help shape the embedded and mobile software that powers our drones and ground control stations, directly impacting the autonomous navigation, real-time control, and user experience of our systems. In this role, you will: Build and enhance the graphical user interface for the ground control station, real-time telemetry, and data visualization intuitive and user-friendly. Design, develop, and maintain the embedded software for our onboard computers, ensuring seamless collection, recording, and streaming of inspection data. Work closely with software and firmware engineers to fine-tune system performance. Develop and maintain the communication protocols that connect the drone, ground station, and cloud services. Optimize performance to ensure low-latency, memory-efficient, and reliable operations, even in resource-constrained environments. Uphold high code quality standards through clean, tested, and maintainable software practices, including unit testing, CI/CD, and code reviews. Contribute to architectural decisions, helping to balance performance, scalability, and usability. Your profile 5+ years of experience in embedded and mobile software development for robotics, drones, or real-time applications. Strong proficiency in Rust as the primary language for performance-critical components. Experience with C++ for embedded systems and performance optimization. Expertise in ROS2 for robotics middleware and gstreamer for video processing and streaming pipelines. Familiarity with embedded Linux, containerization, ARM-based systems, video encoding/decoding, and hardware acceleration. Experience in GUI development with frameworks like egui or Qt, and 3D visualization skills using OpenGL, Vulkan, or game engines such as Unity/Unreal. A knack for performance optimization, particularly in memory management, multithreading, and real-time systems. Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to debug complex, distributed systems. A passion for clean code, modular design, testing, and maintainability. Excellent communication skills in English; French is an advantage. A solution-oriented, rigorous, self-motivated, and team-focused mindset. Nice-to-Have Skills: Experience with PX4, or ArduPilot ecosystems. Knowledge of CUDA, OpenCL, or other GPU acceleration frameworks, especially on the NVIDIA Jetson platform. Game development experience with Unity, Unreal Engine, or Godot.
