OVERVIEW:

Join our Chiyoda team as a Robotics Technician. We are seeking a skilled and detail-oriented technician to support, maintain, and improve robotic systems used in our injection molding processes. QUALIFICATIONS:

• Associate degree or technical certification in Robotics, Mechatronics, Industrial Automation, or related field (or equivalent experience)
• 2+ years of experience working with industrial robotics in a manufacturing environment, preferably in plastic injection molding
• Proficiency with PLCs, HMIs, and industrial sensors
• Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills
• Ability to read and interpret technical manuals, electrical schematics, and mechanical drawings
• Excellent communication and teamwork skills
• Willingness to work flexible shifts, including weekends or holidays as needed

• Install, program, troubleshoot, and maintain robotic systems (e.g., ABB, FANUC, STAR or other industrial robots)
• Perform routine inspections and preventative maintenance on automated equipment
• Diagnose mechanical, electrical, and software issues related to robotics and automation
• Support production by minimizing downtime and optimizing robotic cell performance
• Collaborate with engineering and production teams to improve cycle times, efficiency, and product quality
• Maintain accurate records of maintenance activities and equipment modifications
• Ensure safety and compliance with company and OSHA standards in all automation processes
