Description

Job Summary: We are hiring a Robotics Technician to work with one of our Military Defence manufacturing clients in Ingersoll, ON!
The successful candidate will liaise with different departments to troubleshoot and optimize robotic and automation systems, diagnosing faults (mechanical, electrical, control) and implementing rapid recovery routines to reduce downtime and enhance reliability.
Job Type: Full-time, permanent. 100% on-site.
Compensation Structure: 75k-85k per annum + benefits + RRSP + more!
Job Location: Ingersoll, ON
Shift Structure: Monday to Friday; 3 shift bi-weekly rotation.

SKILLS/QUALIFICATIONS REQUIRED:

  • Minimum 5 years of hands‑on experience with robotic simulation and integration.
  • Proficiency in programming (robot controllers, PLCs, HMI, camera systems).
  • Familiarity with safety zoning and DCS configurations.
  • Strong troubleshooting skills and automated fault recovery design.
  • Excellent communication and documentation abilities.
  • Experience in specific industrial applications like sealant/dispensing, forging, or lasers is an asset
  • Familiarity with established robotics programming standards is an asset

CONTROLLED GOODS SECURITY ASSESSMENT REQUIREMENTS

· Must be either a Canadian Citizen or a Permanent Resident for at least 5 years in Canada
· Willing to pass a criminal background check
· No bankruptcies in the last 7 years
· Have 2 personal references and 1 work reference who have known you for 5 or more years
· Have not left the country for more than 6 months in the last 5 years

Responsibilities
  • Design, simulate, program, and fine‑tune industrial robots (e.g. dispensing, material handling, forging, laser).
  • Lead robot safety zoning, DCS setup, Safe Zones, and integrate PLC/HMI/camera systems.
  • Rapidly troubleshoot downtime and develop automated recovery routines for seamless production.
  • Collaborate across engineering, control, and trades teams to optimize system performance.
  • Document equipment, support system commissioning, and maintain CSA‑compliant safety standards.
  • Stay up‑to‑date with robotics innovations and adhere to best-practice programming standards.
