Job Details Division: Nucor Steel Brandenburg Location: Brandenburg, KY, United States Other Available Locations: N/A Deadline: Oct. 4th Basic Job Functions: The Rolling Mill Roll Shop Tech responsibilities include but are not limited to: • Help lead unprecedented excellence in safety. Ensure safety is inherent and paramount in every single thing we do.• Coordinate roll shop activities to safely and efficiently optimize rolling, finishing and shipping productivity.• Consistent focus and dedication to improve all facets of safety, quality, cost, productivity and profitability.• Operate all roll shop equipment and computer systems to support the production of plate.• Grinding of work and back up rolls• Chocking / De-chocking rolls• Trouble shooting equipment issues• Ability to work rotating shifts, scheduled and unscheduled overtime including nights• Strive to minimize equipment downtime by assisting with preventative, planned and unplanned maintenance and will be responsible for assisting the rolling mill department to meet production needs wherever deemed necessary. Safety is the most important part of all jobs within Nucor; therefore, candidates must be able to demonstrate the ability to initiate, lead, and uphold safety policies, practices, procedures, and housekeeping standards at all times.Minimum Qualifications: • 2 years Prior Roll Shop experience.• Overhead crane and mobile equipment experience.Preferred Qualifications: • CNC machine experience• Electrical and mechanical maintenance knowledge Nucor is an Equal Opportunity/Affirmative Action Employer – M/F/Disabled/Vets – and a drug – free workplace
