Essential Duties and Responsibilities * Maintains communications with dispatch and supervisor to receive instructions or notice of changes concerning deliveries or pickups. * Prepares, receives, and provides appropriate documentation for the delivery and pickup of containers to ensure timely service. * Drive to customer location for delivery, pickup, and relocation all while ensuring safety. * Secures and covers all loads to ensure safe transport to disposal locations. * Identify, tag, or communicate any scheduled services not provided for any reason, and never collect any prohibited or hazardous waste. * Complies with all safety procedures at disposal and processing sites. * Dump contents at the designated facility (landfill, transfer station, or recycling) * Maintain accurate records (driver paperwork, daily logs, time sheets, expense reports, dispatch, trip reports, vehicle inspection reports, and other relevant information) * Knowledge of automotive repair and maintenance is a plus. * Strong knowledge of DOT regulations and traffic laws * Follows all of the FMSCA/DOT guidelines. * Perform Daily Pre/Post Trip DOT Inspections on vehicles. * Complies with all mandatory safety meetings & briefings, operational standards & policies, and maintains a valid Texas CDL and DOT medical card. * Adhere to all traffic laws and regulations while operating the truck. * Reports all safety and service incidents to the Supervisor immediately. Qualifications * Valid CDL Class A * Minimum of 2 years of CDL driving experience * Hazmat – preferred * 1-year roll-off experience – preferred * 40-hour work week plus overtime * Be available to work out of town for natural disasters * Operate a company owned roll-off truck to service Industrial, Commercial & Construction customers needing dumpsters on assigned routes that typically change daily in different service areas * Excellent driving skills and a clean driving record * Good communication skills to interact with dispatch, clients and team members * Operating and reliable cell phone (Dispatch and GPS coordinates) * Ability to lift 50 pounds * Must be comfortable working outside year-round in all types of weather * Exposure to varying levels of physical activities. (Standing, crouching, walking, crawling, etc.) * Positive, hard-working attitude * Continuous learning and adaptability are key * Maintain a clean vehicle and presentable appearance when communicating with customers Education High School Diploma or GED Relocation No Travel Requirements Ability to travel 30% to facilities.
