Description du poste For a tramway project in Saudi Arabia, the production of rolling stock will be done in France.. To follow this production, we are looking for ASAP for a 1 or 1,5 year duration a Rolling Stock Quality Engineer (TRAM Project) based in La Rochelle. Reports To: RSS Project Manager Job Type: Full-time 1. Position Purpose We are seeking a Rolling Stock Quality Engineer to support the TRAM project during the manufacturing phase. The successful candidate will oversee manufacturing activities at the supplier’s facilities, ensuring that all tram units and components meet required technical specifications, international standards, and project quality requirements. Key Responsibilities Monitor tram manufacturing processes and ensure compliance with approved Quality Plans and ITPs. Conduct inspections of carbody, bogies, articulation systems, electrical and mechanical assemblies. Review and verify manufacturing documentation, test reports, material certificates, and quality records. Identify and manage non-conformities (NCRs), follow up on corrective actions, and support root-cause analysis. Witness Factory Acceptance Tests (FAT) for major subsystems and verify compliance. Coordinate with suppliers, engineering teams, and project QA management. Qualifications Qualifications Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical, Electrical, Mechatronics, or related engineering field. 10 years of experience in rolling stock, tram, LRV, or railway vehicle manufacturing. Strong knowledge of tram subsystems (carbody, bogies, traction, braking, HVAC, electrical). Experience with quality inspections, NCR management, and QA processes. Familiarity with EN railway standards (e.g., EN 15085, EN 50155) French and english speaking mandatory. Informations complémentaires Skills & Competencies Strong communication and reporting skills. Ability to interpret technical drawings and quality documents. Attention to detail and proactive problem-solving mindset. Willingness to travel and be based at manufacturer sites
