Description
RESPONSIBILITES: * Effectively plans job across a wide array of equipment. This requires basic mechanical knowledge plus working with area craftsman and storeroom personnel to effectively coordinate, plan, and schedule the jobs to a high percent completion rate with minimal supervision * Leads daily planning/scheduling meetings and manages weekly schedule designed to orchestrate coordination with operations and maintenance to complete backlogged work with the effective utilization of plant resources.  * Effectively manages large backlog of work and be able to set priorities in planning process. * Conducts frequent audits on processing equipment, assessing the operating condition and reviewing the reliability program for these assets. Develops, improves, changes the frequency of, or deletes task instructions as needed to increase the overall effectiveness of the preventive maintenance program * Provides input to address equipment obsolescence and replacement, and interface with equipment manufacturers. * Trains industrial maintenance technicians on plant equipment and reliability procedures. * Support auditing HPS, training new team members, and sustaining HPS initiatives. Including monitoring site adherence to HPS MMOS and MOS, coaching team members at all levels  * Any other duties as assigned by management QUALIFICATIONS: Required * A strong pattern of initiative. * Demonstrated leadership skills. * Good problem-solving, decision making, and project management skills. * The ability to learn and effectively use various software programs including Microsoft Office, AutoCAD, the company’s EAMS system. * Ability to climb ladders, lift to 50 pounds, and work in confined spaces. *   Preferred * Minimum two-year degree in Engineering Technology and/or minimum of four years work experience as an Engineering Technician and/or minimum of 5 years work experience as an Industrial Maintenance Mechanic or Electrician. * Ability to use measurement equipment (calipers, flowmeters, etc.). * Ability to use advanced condition monitoring equipment (vibration analyzer, infrared camera, etc.) in an industrial environment. * A solid background in mechanical and electrical systems as well as training in maintenance reliability theory.
