Position: Roman Catholic Musician Location: Newport, RI 02841 Responsibilities: Collaborate with clergy to choose suitable music for Masses and events, adhering to Catholic liturgical guidelines. Recruit and coordinate volunteer musicians, including choir members and instrumentalists. Plan and lead rehearsals to prepare for services. Work with pastoral teams to integrate music into worship, creating a harmonious liturgical experience. Lead musical elements during Masses and encourage congregational participation. Promote spiritual and musical growth among musicians. Maintain equipment and music resources. Foster community within the music ministry and coordinate activities with other church ministries. Qualifications: Proficiency in vocal and instrumental music. Knowledge of Catholic liturgy and music traditions. Experience in choral conducting. Strong organizational and communication skills. Dedication to enhancing worship through music.
