We are seeking a Roofer / Roofers Mate to join our team. You will be responsible for assisting with various tasks and projects from ground level to high roof level, including installing, repairing, and maintaining roofs on various types of buildings. This is a physically demanding role that requires the use of hand and power tools and also working with our own and hired in cherry pickers, so the ability to work at height is necessary. The majority of work is repair work / investigation and maintenance, so a good knowledge of different types of roofing materials is essential and a knowledge of rainscreen systems and curtain walling is an advantage but not necessary, as long as you are will to learn. Responsibilities:
- Assist with the setup and clean-up of works
- Operate hand and power tools to complete works
- Follow safety protocols and wear appropriate personal protective equipment (PPE)
- Maintain cleanliness and organisation of work areas
- Carry out repairs and maintenance to residential and commercial buildings
- Repair and replace damaged or worn-out building and roofing materials
- Use hand tools and power tools and work from cherry pickers to complete roofing tasks
- Remove debris and clean working areas after completing jobs
Requirements:
- Ability to work at heights and in various weather conditions
- Strong physical stamina for heavy lifting and prolonged periods of standing, bending, and kneeling
- Excellent attention to detail and problem-solving skills
- Ability to work as part of a team
