JOB SUMMARY

We are seeking a skilled Tile Setter to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for installing various types of tiles in residential and commercial settings. This role requires a keen eye for detail, strong technical skills, and the ability to work independently or as part of a team. The Tile Setter will ensure that all installations are completed to the highest standards, adhering to design specifications and safety regulations.

EXPERIENCE

• Proven experience as a Tile Setter or in a similar role within the construction industry.
• Proficiency in using hand tools, power tools, and welding equipment relevant to tile installation.
• Familiarity with carpentry, roofing, plumbing, masonry, and fabrication techniques is advantageous.
• Ability to perform heavy lifting and stand for extended periods during installations.

• Interpret schematics and design plans to determine tile layout and installation requirements.
• Prepare surfaces for tile installation by cleaning, leveling, and applying necessary adhesives or underlayment.
• Cut tiles using hand tools and power tools to fit around corners, edges, and fixtures.
• Install tiles on floors, walls, and ceilings with precision, ensuring proper alignment and spacing.
• Perform masonry tasks as needed to prepare surfaces for tile application.
• Collaborate with other tradespeople, including carpenters and plumbers, to ensure seamless project execution.
• Conduct quality checks on completed work to ensure adherence to specifications and standards.
• Maintain a clean and safe work environment by following health and safety regulations.
• Lift heavy materials as required during the installation process.
