JOB SUMMARY

We are seeking a dedicated and skilled Solar Installer to join our growing team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for the installation of solar energy systems on residential and commercial properties. This role requires a strong understanding of building structures, as well as the ability to work at heights and perform heavy lifting. The Solar Installer will collaborate with other team members to ensure that installations are completed efficiently and to the highest standards.

QUALIFICATIONS

  • Minimum 1 years roofing experience
  • Previous experience in solar installation or a related field is preferred but not essential.
  • Proficiency in using power tools, with a strong emphasis on safety practices.
  • Ability to perform heavy lifting (up to 50 kg) as required during installations.
  • Familiarity with roofing techniques and materials is advantageous.
  • Strong problem-solving skills, with the ability to read and understand technical schematics.
  • Excellent teamwork skills, with a commitment to delivering high-quality workmanship.
  • Valid driver’s licence is preferred for travel between job sites.
  • CSCS card advantageous

Responsibilities
  • Install solar panels on rooftops and other structures, ensuring compliance with safety regulations and industry standards.
  • Read and interpret schematics to determine installation requirements.
  • Perform masonry work as needed to prepare surfaces for solar panel installation.
  • Use power tools and equipment safely and effectively during installations.
  • Fabricate mounting systems and other components necessary for solar installations.
  • Conduct site assessments to evaluate structural integrity and suitability for solar panel placement.
  • Collaborate with team members to ensure seamless integration of solar systems into existing structures.
  • Maintain a clean and safe work environment, adhering to all health and safety protocols.
  • Assist in training new team members on installation techniques and safety practices.
