JOB SUMMARY

We are seeking a skilled and experienced Roofing Foreman to oversee and lead our roofing crews on-site. The ideal candidate will bring extensive hands-on experience in commercial and flat roofing systems, combined with strong leadership abilities to manage daily operations effectively. This role requires both technical expertise and excellent team management skills to ensure projects are completed safely, efficiently, and to the highest standards. The role is a fixed term work of 8 weeks.

QUALIFICATIONS

  • Minimum 6 years of roofing experience, with at least 2 years in a Foreman or Lead Hand role.
  • Strong knowledge of flat roofing systems and installation techniques.
  • Ability to lead a team in a fast-paced construction environment.
  • Proficient in reading roofing plans and specifications.
  • Familiarity with roof safety systems and working at heights requirements.
  • Valid driver’s license and access to reliable transportation across the GTA.
  • Current certifications such as Working at Heights, WHMIS, 4 Steps and Basics of Supervision.
  • Strong communication and organizational skills.
  • Experience in restoration or building envelope work is an asset.
    Job Type: Fixed term contract
    Contract length: 8-12 weeks
    Pay: $45.00-$55.00 per hour

Responsibilities
  • Supervise and lead roofing crews in replacement a commercial TPO flat roofing systems.
  • Coordinate job site activities to ensure safe, efficient, and high-quality work.
  • Monitor daily progress and ensure adherence to the project schedule and budget.
  • Maintain proper site documentation, including daily reports, safety inspections, and crew time logs.
  • Communicate regularly with the Project Manager or Superintendent regarding progress, challenges, and material requirements.
  • Enforce safety protocols and conduct toolbox talks as required.
  • Identify and resolve any issues affecting job quality or safety on site.
  • Train, coach, and motivate team members to ensure productivity and workmanship standards are met.
