ABOUT THE JOB…

At the Novotel Surfers Paradise, we are not only focused on our guests, but also our people. We are seeking enthusiastic and energetic, experienced Room Attendants to join our diverse Housekeeping team on a casual basis. Applicants should have previous experience in a similar role, in a hotel with 200+ rooms.
As part of the Housekeeping team you will be responsible for offering a quality customer service experience by maintaining the cleanliness of guest rooms, guest corridors and service areas. Involving but not limited to changing bed linen, making beds, cleaning bathrooms and restocking amenities.

Key responsibilities:

  • Attending to guest enquiries and requests in a timely manner
  • Cleaning guests rooms as required, seeing them shine
  • Carrying out allocated cleaning duties to achieve brand standards throughout the hotel
  • Transferring dirty linen and removing rubbish and recycling
  • Safe handling and use of chemicals

Qualifications

EXPERIENCE:

  • Previous cleaning experience. Hotel cleaning experience highly desirable.
  • A can-do positive attitude & service with a smile
  • A keen eye for detail whilst having good time management skills
  • Excellent communication skills and comfortable to use a two way radio
  • Excellent personal presentation
  • Flexible in your availability to work on a rotating 7 day roster including weekends & school holiday’s (& overnight when required)
  • Understanding of correct chemical usage & manual handling techniques to ensure safe work practices in this physical role
  • MUST HOLD VALID AUSTRALIAN WORK RIGHTS, we are not offering sponsorship.
