Job Details Job Location: Suquamish, WA 98392 Position Type: Part Time Job Shift: Day Job Category: Hospitality - Hotel PORT MADISON ENTERPRISES SUQUAMISH CLEARWATER CASINO RESORT Resort- Room Attendant General Position Summary: Maintains clean and attractive guest rooms and common areas in keeping with the organization’s cleanliness standards. Essential Functions/Major Responsibilities: Approaches all guest encounters utilizing the Cleary Superior Customer Service standards Vacuums, sweeps, mops, and cleans carpet and flooring in the rooms and throughout the facility Dusts, brushes, polishes, cleans and vacuums furniture, glass, mirrors, curtains, framed pictures, appliances and other structural fixtures and furnishings in guest rooms Prepares beds, cleans restrooms and replaces amenities Strips beds and collects dirty linens while following organization’s blood borne pathogen program Removes trash and debris from guest rooms and follows the organization’s lost found procedures Accepts responsibility for a “Pass Key” during assigned shift; turns the “Pass Key” in to the appropriate person at the end of the shift Loads and unloads laundry machinery and performs all stages of linen processing, (sorting soiled and clean linen etc.) Attends all vendor and company training Cleans laundry machinery as necessary Assists in laundry inventories Secondary Functions: Effectively manages time in an effort to stay within the daily cleaning schedule Reports all room damage immediately to the housekeeping supervisor Maintains confidentiality of all guests Other duties as assigned Specific Job Skills: Ability to follow directions Demonstrate excellent verbal and written communication skills Ability to problem-solve, handle stressful situations and make good decisions and meet deadlines Ability to act professionally with difficult situations and people Ability to function in a team-orientated environment and work independently Qualifications Education and/or Experience: High School diploma or GED desired. A minimum of six (6) months prior housekeeping/environmental services and/or laundry experience. CPR Certification. Job Conditions: Working conditions include working in a spa with equipment necessary to provide services as outlined in this job description. Other working conditions may include working with others, frequent interruptions, and working evenings and/or weekends. Working in a smoke-filled environment may be necessary. Other conditions include working alone with frequent interruptions. Physical Requirements: Ability to lift seventy-five (75) pounds while standing, twisting, or bending. Manual and finger dexterity is required to perform duties and may involve standing, sitting, bending, kneeling for extended periods of time and will include reaching with arms and hands.
