We are looking for ambassadors for Sofitel Auckland Viaduct Harbour as Part Time Room Attendant. The ambassador should an eye for detail, a passion for creating magnifique luxury experience for our guests and developing a wonderful team.
Job Description

Our Ambassador will be:

  • Energetic and will carry out allocated cleaning duties, achieving established standards of cleanliness and presentation to meet guest’s expectations in regard to the cleanliness of the room areas and non room areas, public areas and standards for back of house areas.
  • Clean and service allocated rooms to Sofitel reference standards.
  • Clean all back of house areas. May clean Kitchen area as required.
  • Clean and maintain locker rooms, staff and public washrooms / toilets.
  • May clean all public areas as required.
  • Carry out programmed / regular cleaning duties as allocated.
  • Ensure all department equipment is maintained to a high standard.
  • Assist with regular equipment stocktaking.
  • Understand the correct usage and storage of cleaning agents in line with health and safety regulations and manufacturer’s instructions.
  • Assist guests with any requests for information or service they require. Refer any requests out of your authority to your supervisor.
  • Assist in providing our guests with turn down service.
  • Clean balconies, balcony furniture and railings.
  • Clean carpets.
  • Responsible for de-scaling shower heads, bleach grouting in bathroom and toilets and general upkeep of bedrooms.
  • Deep cleaning in the rooms, mini bars, air-conditioning, cabinets.
  • Help Room Attendants when necessary (extra beds, bed boards, make beds)

QUALIFICATIONS

  • Good level of physical fitness. This role has physical demands of lifting and carrying and being on your feet.
  • Have an understanding of the needs and expectations of luxury guests.
  • Have a high attention to detail.
  • Organises time and work efficiently.
