SPECIFIC ACCOUNTABILITIES

Room Attendants are responsible for the efficient and effective cleaning of all rooms located in Banff Centre’s hotels as well as general public areas.

Specific responsibilities will include:

• Dust furniture
• Vacuum carpeting, area rugs, draperies and upholstered furniture
• Make beds and change sheets
• Distribute clean towels and toiletries
• Clean, disinfect and polish kitchen and bathroom fixtures and appliances
• Handle and report lost and found items
• Pick up debris and empty trash containers
• Wash windows, walls and ceilings
• Perform light housekeeping and cleaning duties

QUALIFICATION AND EDUCATIONAL REQUIREMENTS

• The ideal candidate will have 3+ months experience in housekeeping or a related field
• A high level of customer service is required
• Able to meet the physical requirements of this position
• For health and safety reasons, must be able to understand and take direction in English
• No degree, certificate or diploma required

SPECIAL REQUIREMENTS

• Due to the nature of the job, this position requires the candidate to be available to work a flexible, irregular schedule and weekends.
• Physical stamina and the ability to move up to 50 lbs and to stand, kneel, stretch, and bend on a repeating basis is required.
