Cosy Cottage is a highly regarded nursery, registered for 34 children per day. It is a busy nursery that has a high demand for places. Cosy achieved 3x Very Good and 1x Good gradings in its most recent Care Inspection, and have also received its Eco-Schools, Green Flag Award
Full time posts are 40 hours per week which are worked over 4 full days.
This is a great opportunity to join a solid Nursery group and have room to grow and develop in your role and qualifications.

The ideal candidate would have :

• A sound knowledge in Curriculum For Excellence
• Understanding of GIRFEC, Schematic Play principles and SHANARRI, and ability to implement all Nursery Policies
• Excellent communication skills
• Room leadership skills
• The ability to work as part of a team as well as use their own initiative
• Have a understanding of the many benefits of outdoor play and schematic play.
• Be hardworking and reliable.

The successful candidate will be motivated, professional and passionate about working with and supporting our children and families.
You will be responsible for creating stimulating learning experiences, which allow children to grow and learn in a nurturing and caring environment.

Candidates should meet the below criteria…

• HNC in Childcare and Education (or equivalent)

The nursery also offers pension contributions, social events paid for, additional ‘Birthday Day Off’ and the nursery is closed over Christmas and New Year.
