Hillside House Nursery is a company that has two settings, based in the beautiful Shropshire countryside just outside the town of Shrewsbury. We are looking for candidates who demonstrate attributes such as kindness, patience and a genuine love of children. The nursery has an Outstanding Ofsted report. The nursery would be interested in hearing from applicants who meet the above criteria and who have the drive to contribute to our ongoing pursuit of excellence. The applicant will have a passion for working with young children and be able to build authentic, positive, effective and professional relationships with children aged from 0-5 years and support staff in this. The applicant will be able to support children in their learning and development through effective interactions and thoughtful planning. Build positive, effective and professional relationships with parents and communicate successfully everyday.
The applicant must be able to share the children’s experiences, their learning and development with parents. Listen to parents about the child’s progress at home and use this information to further support the child. The applicant will support practitioners in working with parents effectively Working professionally in a team and individually. They must be able to communicate with colleagues effectively and to ensure the smooth day to day running of the nursery and to ensure all children and parents are supported in every way, whilst communicating with other senior staff to ensure information is shared effectively
The applicant must be self-motivated and be able to manage the documentation that supports their key group of children and oversee all support documentation in their room and following policies and procedures. They must have an excellent working knowledge of the Statutory Framework and working knowledge of the Early Years Foundation Stage. Understand and ensure safeguarding and welfare requirements are implemented within practice. information
Hillside House Nursery and Pre-School is committed to safeguarding children and young people. All posts holders are subject to a satisfactory DBS check at an enhanced level, a relevant Level 3 qualification is essential.
The post is 40 hours per week (plus one monthly 2 hour staff meeting) Applicants must be able to work Monday-Friday between the hours of 7.45am -6.00pm
