A Certificate 3, Diploma or Bachelor’s degree in Early Childhood Education - Qualification not as important to us as experience and passion is

  • Minimum 2 years of experience as a Room Leader or Senior Educator in a childcare setting
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build strong relationships with children, families, and colleagues
  • Demonstrated leadership skills and the ability to effectively manage a team of educators
  • Sound knowledge of the Early Years Learning Framework and National Quality Standard
  • Passion for early childhood education and a commitment to providing high-quality care and learning experiences for children
  • Current Working with Children Check and First Aid certification
Responsibilities

ABOUT THE ROLE;

We are seeking a passionate and experienced Room Leader to join our dynamic team in Balmain, NSW. As a Room Leader, you will be responsible for leading a team of educators and ensuring the delivery of high-quality care and educational programs for children. This is a full-time position based in our Balmain location.

WHAT YOU’LL BE DOING;

  • Oversee the day-to-day operations of your designated room, ensuring a safe, engaging, and nurturing environment for the children
  • Plan and implement developmentally appropriate educational activities and curriculum to support the physical, cognitive, social, and emotional growth of the children
  • Mentor and support a team of educators, providing guidance, coaching, and feedback to help them develop their skills and achieve their professional goals
  • Maintain accurate records, documentation, and compliance with all relevant childcare regulations and policies
  • Foster positive relationships with parents and families, communicating effectively about the children’s progress and addressing any concerns
  • Actively participate in team meetings, professional development opportunities, and contribute to the continuous improvement of the service
