Responsibilities

ARE YOU AN EXPERIENCED AND PASSIONATE EARLY YEARS PRACTITIONER READY TO STEP INTO A LEADERSHIP ROLE?

We’re looking for a dedicated Room Leader to join our warm, welcoming nursery team and lead with enthusiasm, confidence, and care.
This is a brilliant opportunity to take the next step in your childcare career — helping shape a nurturing, high-quality environment where children feel safe, supported, and inspired to learn every day.
If you’re a positive role model with a love for early years and a natural ability to lead and motivate, this could be the perfect next chapter in your childcare journey.

ABOUT THE ROLE:

As a Room Leader, you’ll take the lead in your designated room, guiding your team in delivering exceptional care and engaging learning experiences. This hands-on role is perfect for someone who enjoys leading by example and has a genuine passion for early years education.

You’ll work closely with the Nursery Manager and senior staff to:

  • Support the daily running of your room
  • Ensure consistent, high-quality care and education
  • Motivate and mentor your room team
  • Create a positive, inclusive atmosphere where both children and staff thrive

Whether you’re an experienced practitioner or currently in a room leader role looking for a new challenge, this position offers a fantastic opportunity to grow as a leader within a supportive and forward-thinking nursery group.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead the day-to-day running of your room, maintaining high standards of care and education
  • Deliver a fun, engaging, child-led curriculum in line with the Curriculum for Wales (CfW)
  • Be a positive role model in interactions, play, and routine care
  • Support, mentor, and motivate your room team
  • Ensure safeguarding and health & safety procedures are followed consistently
  • Build strong, supportive relationships with families
  • Complete observations, assessments, and contribute to audits/inspections
  • Work collaboratively with the wider nursery team to share best practice
