Jardeg is recruiting Rope Access Technician B-Pressure Welders to join the Heartland Constructors Outage group at the Imperial Oil Kearl site in Fort MacKay, Alberta. Heartland completes multiple outages per month at the Kearl site ranging from 3-10 days. Charter flights are provided from Calgary or Edmonton to site. While working on-site, workers will be staying at the Wapasu camp which will provide hot meals, lodging, workout facilities, Wi-Fi, commissary and much more! The successful candidate would be working 12 hours per day, with daily overtime. Rope Access Technicians are used in a wide range of repair, maintenance, inspection and access work. Rope access methodology boasts an unrivalled safety record, short set-up and dismantling time, positive environmental benefits and removes the need for invasive access equipment or disruption to a worksite.
Responsibilities:
Welders join or sever metals in beams, girders, vessels, piping and other metal components, make metal parts used in construction and manufacturing plants, and weld parts, tools, machines and equipment. Welders develop patterns for projects or follow directions given in layouts, blueprints and work orders, clean, check for defects and shape component parts, sometimes using a cutting torch and weld parts together.
