Overview:
In this role, the Rope Access Exterior Painter will perform painting and coating tasks on the exterior surfaces of
buildings, structures, or other elevated areas using rope access techniques.
Main tasks:
- Set up and dismantle of rope access rigging and other relevant equipment;
- Safely set-up rope access gear, ladders and other physical equipment, while placing drop sheets to
protect adjacent areas from paint splattering;
- Select and prepare paints to ensure required colours, by mixing portions of pigment, oil, thinning and
drying additives;
- Prepare surfaces for painting by removing old paint and wallpaper as well as fixing woodwork, if
required;
- Conduct thorough leak detection in order to fix any cracks and puncture found, as well as to smooth
and seal surfaces by filling such holes;
- Carry-out painting work on building exteriors, via rope access;
- Apply paints, varnishes and stains to surfaces using brushes, rollers, sprays and the painting
equipment;
- Undertake minor building façade repairs, such as render and concrete repairs, if needed (also via rope
access);
- Work on finishing touches by hanging wallpaper, matching patterns and trimming edges;
- Replace expansion points, if needed;
- Clean and maintain equipment and work areas
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $75,000.00 – $85,000.00 per year
