Authority The Chief Engineer is in charge of the technical operations of the vessel In charge of safe management of engine room operations and maintenances Co-Ordinator for shipboard anti-pollution activities Minimum requirements: Experience in rank on board RO-RO or similar vessel Valid class Chief Engineer license and certificates according to STCW 95 as amended Good knowledge about maritime rules and regulations (SOLAS, STCW, MARPOL, MLC) Good knowledge of PMS and inventory management.
