Job Description Rostering Coordinator – Veterinary Referral Hospital (VRH) Location: Melbourne, VIC Employment Type: Permanent Part-Time VRH is a leading multi-disciplinary specialist referral hospital committed to delivering exceptional veterinary care. We are currently seeking a Rostering Coordinator to join our hospital operations team and support the smooth running of our services across all departments. This role is central to ensuring effective staffing across the hospital, including intern and on-call rosters, and maintaining accurate scheduling through Kronos. You’ll work closely with department heads and team leaders to support workflow, service delivery, and team wellbeing. Key Responsibilities Develop and maintain rosters for all departments, including interns and on-call schedules Collaborate with leadership to ensure rosters align with operational needs and team skillsets Manage leave requests and provide real-time support for sick leave coverage while on shift Input and maintain accurate data in Kronos, optimising its functionality Participate in the review and development of rostering policies and procedures Ensure compliance with relevant awards, legislation, and hospital policies What We’re Looking For Proven experience in roster coordination, ideally in a healthcare or veterinary setting Strong organisational and time management skills Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities Ability to manage competing priorities in a dynamic environment Familiarity with Kronos or similar rostering software is advantageous If you're detail-oriented, proactive, and passionate about supporting a high-performing veterinary team, we’d love to hear from you.
