Salary: Starting from £30,000 per annum (pro rata) depending on experience, plus overtime and stay-over pay

REQUIREMENTS.

  • Full Driving Licence & Own Vehicle: Essential for school runs, extracurricular activities, and potential travel requirements.
  • Native Speaking & Understanding of English: Required for effective communication, homework help, and liaising with educational providers.
  • Enhanced DBS Check: The role is subject to a full, up-to-date DBS clearance.
  • Flexibility: Availability to work some weekends, longer shifts, and travel if required.
  • Experience: Previous childcare or nannying experience is highly desirable. Experience with a range of ages is a plus.
Responsibilities

ABOUT THE ROLE

A busy family in St Helens is seeking a reliable, caring, and enthusiastic Nanny to help look after their six children (ranging from 14 years old down to 18 months). This is a one week on, one week off position with room for flexibility. The role is for 3 days per week, working 12-hour shifts on a rota that starts each Thursday, with Sundays off. You’ll work opposing shifts with another Nanny to ensure six days of continuous cover. Some weekend work will be required, and flexibility in hours is essential.
5 of the 6 children in full time education, this is a solo and a shared care role.

RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Childcare & Supervision: Provide attentive, nurturing care for children aged 1 to 14 years old. This includes meal preparation, hygiene routines, playtime, and ensuring a safe environment.
  • Education & Fun: Assist with homework for school-aged children and engage the younger ones in educational and creative play activities.
  • School Runs: Manage drop-offs and pick-ups for children attending full-time school.
  • Personal Assistant Duties: Organise schedules and appointments for the children, communicate with schools as needed, and maintain clear records for the family.
  • Handover & Communication: Work closely with the other Nanny, providing clear written and verbal handovers so each shift runs smoothly.
  • Travel & Events: Occasionally travel with the family and supervise the children on outings, holidays, and day trips. These costs are covered by the family.
  • Light Household Tasks: Keep children’s areas tidy, organise their belongings, and plan age-appropriate activities. The family employ a full time housekeeper and cleaner, however you will be expected to clean up after the children (Meal times, play etc)
