JOB DUTIES:  * Ensure proper material and stock size for job.  * Select, pre-set, and load proper tool holders, endmills, drills, inserts, and saw blades. * Able to make adjustments using offsets to ensure parts meet specification. * Document all information needed to run job. * Operate machines and inspect parts in accordance with Quality Procedures. * Verify conformance of parts to specifications using micrometers, dial indicators, optical comparator, and other gages/tools. * Accurately weight up parts for correct daily count and record information on time slip. * Perform daily and routine preventive maintenance functions. * Keep work area clean and orderly. * Constant pursuit of continual improvement.  EDUCATION / SKILL REQUIREMENTS: * Ability to communicate effectively in English, both written and orally. * High school diploma or GED preferred. * One (1) year CNC experience preferred (any combination of both mill and lathe experience). * Must be familiar with the use of precision gages & measurement devices * Knowledge of CNC programming and general machining principles, including G & M code preferred. Must be able to troubleshoot, adjust and offset as needed. * Strong math & blueprint understanding. Dimensioning, tolerance and strong decimal skills are required. PHYSICAL DEMANDS: * Ability to regularly stand, move and/or lift up to 20 lbs. and occasionally up to 50 lbs.
