Responsibilities

ABOUT THE ROLE

This is an exciting opportunity to join a supportive and innovative team where you will develop your Physiotherapy practice and deliver evidence-based rehabilitation and assessments for clients within community hospitals.
You will be given the opportunity to build and maintain key relationships with acute and community referrers to the services as well as partners in the community, across CLCH, including the Community Therapy and Falls Prevention Service, Stroke and Rehabilitation Units, Parkinson’s Unit, Chronic Obstructive Pulmonary Diseases team, Learning Disabilities, Wheelchair services and Musculoskeletal Outpatient services.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Supervision of junior staff, rehabilitation assistants and students
  • Participating in any audit or development being undertaken by the service
  • Undertaking a variety of rotations (orthopaedics, respiratory and acute assessment ward, stroke/elderly/neuro rehabilitation wards, Musculoskeletal Outpatients, Community Therapy Team) to provide a broad base for personal and professional development
  • Working in a number of settings including care homes, residential units, patient homes, hospital wards, special schools, mainstream schools, clinics and may involve up to 6 locations at any one time
    CLCH offers a variety of training opportunities to clinical staff and is committed to supporting continuous professional development of their workforce and offer regular in-services and CPD opportunities. The post is supported by Highly Specialist Physiotherapist and Occupational Therapist Team leads, and Clinical Therapy Lead.
