Description The Rotomold Machine Operator is responsible for the overall operations of the machine and the manufacturing of good quality parts. To apply to this position, please click on the link below: Realistic Job Preview Duties and Responsibilities Programs and maintains the operation of the rotomold machine, including set up, shut down, temperature adjustments, filling buckets with powder, pulling completed parts, scraping and cleaning, as per work instructions. Understands rotational molding process, mold preparation, basic mechanics, and minor maintenance including mold releases, cleaning of parting lines, burn time, temperature, cooling, etc. Knows characteristics of standard resins, the proper cure, and how to check the cure. Ensures good quality parts are being produced. Reads and follows the molding process sheets, corrects errors and reports to supervisor or lead. Knows the quality standards of the machine as well as the critical dimensions and characteristics of each part and how to check to maintain consistency. Effectively conducts a first part inspection to approve set-up. Communicates effectively with coworkers, supervisors, prior and subsequent shifts. Organizes and cleans work area following each shift. Stocks production materials appropriately. Performs other duties as assigned. Works overtime as necessary.
