Description We are seeking a skilled Rough Carpenter to construct, install, and repair the structural framework of modular residential buildings. This role focuses on framing and structural components prior to finish work, ensuring all work meets building codes, safety standards, and project specifications. Requirements What you’ll be doing Frame walls, floors, roofs, and structural systems for residential buildings Install studs, joists, rafters, trusses, and sheathing Lay out framing according to blueprints and plans Measure, cut, and assemble lumber and engineered wood products Install rough openings for doors, windows, and mechanical systems Ensure work is plumb, level, square, and structurally sound Follow company safety policies and OSHA guidelines Coordinate with supervisors and other trades Operate hand tools, power tools, and framing equipment safely Maintain tools and equipment Identify and report safety hazards or material issues Maintain a clean and organized job site Inspect materials and report defects or shortages Qualifications & Skills 3-5+ years of residential framing or rough carpentry experience required Ability to read blueprints, layouts, and specifications Experience using hand and power tools safely Basic understanding of local building codes Demonstrated ability to interpret and execute work instructions and assembly procedures for modular construction Strong work ethic and reliability Ability to work independently and as part of a crew Physical stamina for lifting, climbing, and prolonged standing Good communication skills Education & Experience High school diploma or GED preferred On-the-job training or apprenticeship experience is required Valid driver’s license and reliable transportation preferred Work Environment Indoor work at a warehouse facility (majority of the time) Outdoor work in varying weather conditions, when needed Exposure to dust, noise, and construction materials Required use of personal protective equipment (PPE) Work Hours & Benefits Shifts are currently 7:30am - 4:00pm Monday - Friday Competitive hourly pay based on experience Overtime opportunities as applicable Performance-based raises Benefits package (healthcare, 401k, paid time off)
