About the Role: The Route Driver plays a crucial role in ensuring the timely and safe delivery of goods to various locations. Minimum Qualifications: * Valid driver's license with a clean driving record. * High school diploma or equivalent. * Proven experience as a delivery driver or in a similar role. Preferred Qualifications: * Familiarity with GPS and route planning software. * Experience in customer service or client-facing roles. * Knowledge of local traffic laws and regulations. Responsibilities: * Operate a delivery vehicle to transport parts to designated customer locations according to a pre-planned route. * Load and unload cargo, ensuring that items are secured and handled with care; may require lifting up to 50 lbs. and/or use of equipment for heavier lifting, pulling, or pushing. * Maintain accurate records of deliveries, including mileage, fuel consumption, and delivery confirmations. * Communicate effectively with dispatchers, sales team and customers regarding delivery schedules and any potential delays. * Conduct routine vehicle inspections and report any maintenance issues to ensure safety and compliance. Skills: The required skills for this position include strong driving abilities and a thorough understanding of vehicle operation, which are essential for safely navigating various routes. Excellent communication skills are necessary for interacting with customers and dispatchers, ensuring that all parties are informed and satisfied.
