Job Details Level: Entry Job Location: Tempe, AZ Position Type: Full Time Education Level: High School or GED Salary Range: $21.50 - $23.00 Hourly Travel Percentage: Local Driving Required Job Shift: Day Job Category: Sales & Marketing Description The Sales Route Relief & Warehouse Associate, also known as a Route Sales Associate (RSA), is a hybrid role which provides sales route relief to customer accounts in Phoenix/Tempe and surrounding areas and performs warehouse duties such as inventory cycle counts, picking orders, putting product away, and loading trucks (forklift certification provided). When on route, the RSA provides excellent customer service by ensuring customers are in-stock, serviced as scheduled, and that the beverage station is set to standard. Duties include selling and delivering coffee, tea, and related products to customers. When not covering a route, the RSA performs warehouse duties. The Phoenix/Tempe hiring team is seeking a self-motivated, dependable individual to join their team who is willing and able to do overnight travel and assist other branches on occasion. Typical Work Schedule: Monday - Friday, 7:00 am - 3:30 pm, Overtime When Needed Overnight travel required a week at a time when covering other branches Driving Requirements: Valid Drivers License with clean driving record. Must be able to complete a successful DOT physical and drug test. Responsibilities • Provides route relief and maintenance, including vacation coverage and open route coverage, for assigned branch locations. • Route coverage may require travel to branch locations within territory. • Deliver, replenish, and rotate beverage station products on each call when assigned to a route. • Ensure equipment is clean and in working order, executing a minimum of one CQC (Cup Quality Check) per day. • Responsible for escalating customer issues quickly to the Area Route Manager (ARM) and ensuring customer satisfaction. • Ensure customers receive delivery and service as required. • Manage invoices, inventory, and collections daily when on a route. • Responsible for increasing Revenue per Stop through identifying and closing distribution voids on core products, executing seasonal and LTO promotions, executing pricing actions and ensuring the beverage station is set to standard when assigned to a route. • Notify ARM of any inefficiencies, customer dissatisfaction or opportunities found while running route relief. • Assist ARM on customer related matters as assigned. • Become familiar with brewing equipment and learn to make basic repairs or adjustments. • Consistently execute the Farmer Brothers customer “The Farmer Brothers Way to Sell“ to drive customer satisfaction and loyalty. • Performs other duties as assigned including assisting in accounts receivable collections and customer service activities. • Performs warehouse duties. Qualifications Education & Experience High School Diploma or equivalent required. Route delivery experience preferred but not required. Customer service background preferred. Previous foodservice industry experience preferred. Must be able to complete a successful DOT physical, possess a valid driver’s license and clean driving record.
