Position Summary The Route Sales Representative is responsible for delivering products directly to retail stores, managing inventory, merchandising, and maintaining strong relationships with store personnel. This role is a blend of sales, delivery, and customer service, ensuring products are well-stocked, displays are properly maintained, and accounts are satisfied with the service provided. Requirements Responsibilities Deliver Products to assigned retail accounts on a scheduled route using company vehicles. Merchandise Shelves and Displays to company standards, including rotation of stock, checking dates, and maintaining a clean, organized appearance. Build and Maintain Customer Relationships with store managers and staff to ensure continued business and identify sales opportunities. Manage Inventory by tracking product levels, returns, and credits; ensure accurate delivery records. Drive Sales Growth by recommending new products, expanding shelf space, and implementing promotional displays. Collect Payments or Confirm Invoices as needed depending on the account setup. Ensure Compliance with safety procedures, DOT regulations, and company policies. Daily Reporting of delivery and sales data to the appropriate internal teams. Education, Experience and Skills Required Customer service experience Good Driving Record Loading and unloading product High School Diploma or equivalent Physical Requirements, Working Conditions, and Travel Requirements Physical Requirements Must be able to lift up to 35 pounds. Must be able to push up to 35 pounds. Must be able to pull up to 35 pounds. Sitting for long periods while driving, general bending and twisting are associated with lifting. Some overnight travel is required within the territory.
