Description Objective: Transport customer garments and household items between customers’ homes and businesses, and Ziker stores. Generate increased revenue by solicitation of new customers and growth of your designated delivery route. Provide exemplary service for customers and their garments, while also demonstrating a high level of respect for fellow employees, the stores and production facility you enter, and the Company vehicle you are provided. Build, foster, and feed into a culture of positivity, service to others, and authentic relationships with customers and coworkers. Essential Functions: Driving/Delivery: Develop a deep understanding of designated routes, and safely operate a company vehicle while navigating local roadways. Always adhere to all traffic laws. Scan, lift, carry, and load completed orders into the delivery van. Follow predetermined route stop order (manifest) using GPS to arrive at customers’ homes and businesses. Deliver orders to customers’ homes and businesses and pick up any new items that customers leave in the designated pick-up location. Unload laundry bags from the delivery van at the production facility. Route Development: Actively solicit new customers, increasing the size and length of your route over time, and generating increased revenue. Build rapport and relationships with your customers, ask for referrals and their organic promotion of our services. Go door-to-door, speak with prospective customers, and draft strategies to increase your route. Meet or exceed all required sales goals. Delivery Connect App: Enter daily route into the app to designate route stop order, as determined by RSR and the Route Manager. Update and maintain the route stop order over time as new stops are added to the manifest. Utilize the maps function to drive to the next stop on the route. Scan order tags of items to be delivered, and/or when picking up bags from the customer. Ensure all items are properly scanned and accounted for and move on to the next customer. Repeat these steps until the route is completed. Customer Communication: Greet any customers you may see on your route, by name when possible. Be an ambassador for Ziker; act in a professional, warm, and positive manner in all interactions. Speak with customers in-person, via text message, and/or phone call to help with any questions, concerns, or issues they may have. Collaborate with customers and appropriate colleagues/management to resolve any issues that may arise with customers’ items. Personally follow up with all customers who request a pickup and fail to leave an order for the scheduled day. Vehicle Upkeep: Conduct daily maintenance checks of the vehicle and report urgent issues to Route Manager immediately. Complete weekly vehicle report with mileage and non-urgent vehicle concerns. Clean the vehicle inside and out at least weekly. Time Management/Independence: Manage your daily routes and workload in a timely and efficient manner. Rearrange your route as needed to accommodate new customers as well as rare return trips to resolve customer issues. Travel alone up to ~12 hours per workday. Find efficient solutions to any problems you encounter, with minimal oversight or direction. No sandals or flip-flops. No personal (without Company logo) outerwear, sweatshirts, jackets, or hats while on duty. Work Environment: Company-provided van: climate controlled. Outdoors: all-weather Brief periods in stores/production: climate controlled. Industry-standard clothing racks throughout employee areas of stores and the production facility. Physical Demands: Ability to safely operate a vehicle for 10-12 hours daily. Ability to enter and exit a vehicle constantly. Ability to sit for extended periods of time. Ability to open van doors, retrieve or place garments, and deliver garments to or from the customer. Ability to lift and/or move up to 35 pounds, repeatedly throughout the day. Position Status, Expected Hours: Full-Time Status: Up to 40 hours with possible overtime Schedule: Monday, Tuesday, Thursday, and Friday: Between 6:30 am and 6:00 pm Attend required Wednesday meetings when necessary. Average 10 – 12 Hour days, which fluctuate based on the needs of the specific route and workday. Travel: This position requires constant local travel in a Company vehicle along established routes, including to and from Ziker Cleaner’s stores and the production facility. Required Qualifications: Valid US Driver’s License Acceptable insurability rating as determined by Motor Vehicle Record (reviewed at least annually) Determined medically able to perform job duties by physical examination (renewed at least every 5 years unless recommended otherwise by the physician). Strong Written and Verbal Communication Basic Phone and Computer Literacy Attention to Detail Preferred Education & Experience: High school diploma or GED 2+ years of experience working in route delivery or sales.
