POSITION DESCRIPTION

We are seeking a talented Geospatial / Engineer with at least 2 years of post-qualification experience. The ideal candidate will focus on route selection, drafting, production of planning and construction packages, and surveying of underground cable linear assets.
In support of ESB’s strategic objectives of decarbonising electricity, building resilient infrastructure, and empowering clients, you will collaborate with our team to design underground cable solutions for ESB Networks and other clients on high voltage transmission and distribution projects.

• Provide surveying and drafting services, including the preparation of route drawings, maps, and as-laid records for cable projects.
• Conduct route selection for cable projects and feasibility studies, supporting the project team in overall route development and design.
• Offer support services for engagement and consultation with clients, local authorities, landowners, statutory bodies, and stakeholders.
• Undertake design work, including cable pulling tension calculations and compiling cable material quantities.
• Perform site inspections during certain construction activities.
