Overview Are you ready to play a crucial role in shaping the future of aviation? Joby is seeking a Router Shop Technician 2nd shift to support our Composite Manufacturing efforts. You will participate in several aspects of the CNC composite trimming production environment. Hands-on experience and a “get it done" attitude are very important. This internship will be in person at our Marina CA location. Responsibilities Assist machine operators with fixture setups, loading/unloading, and machine cleanup Assist in organizational projects like CNC cutters and shop tools storage and CNC trim fixture inventory and organization Regularly use hand tools, like power drills and torque wrenches, to setup fixtures Regularly operate heavy equipment, like a forklift and crane, to safely move and organize fixtures ranging from 20lb-1200lbs Perform deburring and cleaning operations on finished, CNC trimmed composite parts Clean and organize shop space daily Work collaboratively with the team to meet production deadlines and quality standards Establish and continuously improve a well-organized and safe environment for all workspaces Do a variety of supporting tasks that are needed to get the job done Required HS Diploma or GED Equivalent Work schedule Monday- Friday 3:30pm- 12am Ability to lift over 50 lbs. unassisted and stand at a workstation for extended periods (over 4 hours), excluding meals and breaks. Experience in a machine shop environment Hands-on, mechanical attitude, detail-oriented work habits Strong ability to work both independently and as part of a larger team Excellent verbal and written communication and comprehension skills Effective organizational skills to manage a high volume of shop equipment Experience operating heavy equipment like a forklift and crane Desired Compensation at Joby is a combination of base pay and Restricted Stock Units (RSUs). The target base pay for this position is $31-$42/hour.
