Description

Routing Person – Salina, KS Great Plains Manufacturing is seeking a Routing Person to join our team at the Salina facility. This position works Monday through Thursday 6:00 a.m. to 4:30 p.m., with overtime on Fridays, as required. Primary Duties and Responsibilities: * Read part drawings to determine methods of manufacture, pieces/hour, product structure and material usage * Input data from plant personnel and other sources into IBMi following format displayed on the screen * Maintain database and spreadsheets for accuracy of routing information and tracking utilities * Work with department managers as to information pertaining to MRP systems * Perform other computer tasks such as correspondence, reports, and keeping files * Use Autocad and ProE/windchill to view production drawings * Assign asset numbers and track assets in Manager Plus * Follow all Great Plains and OSHA safety regulations and wear prescribed safety and protective equipment. * Other duties may be assigned that require other qualifications, physical demands, and/or work environment. Preferred Skills and Qualifications: * Strong math skills and ability to set up spreadsheets with mathematical formulas used to calculate material usage * Ability to solve practical problems and deal with a variety of variables * Excellent written and verbal communication skills * Ability to interpret a variety of instructions furnished in written, oral, diagram or schedule form * Strong computer skills; highly proficient in Excel * Ability to learn CAD programs, or a current working knowledge of CAD programs At Great Plains Manufacturing, our people make the difference, making our company a great place to work and grow.
