ROV SENIOR PILOT TECH/SUBSEA ENGINEER JOB SUMMARY

The ROV Senior Pilot Tech/Subsea Engineer is responsible for operating, maintaining, and troubleshooting Remotely Operated Vehicles (ROVs) and associated subsea equipment. This role ensures safe and efficient subsea operations, supports inspection, intervention, and construction tasks, and leads ROV technical support offshore.

ROV SENIOR PILOT TECH/SUBSEA ENGINEER REQUIREMENTS

  • 5+ years offshore experience with ROV systems (work-class preferred)
  • Strong background in subsea engineering, electronics, and hydraulics
  • Familiarity with fiber optics, sonar, manipulators, and tooling packages
  • IMCA ROV certification (Pilot Tech Grade II or higher preferred)
  • Valid offshore survival, medical, and safety certificates
  • Strong communication, leadership, and troubleshooting skills

Responsibilities
  • Pilot and co-pilot ROV systems during subsea operations
  • Maintain and troubleshoot ROV electrical, hydraulic, and mechanical systems
  • Lead mobilization, testing, and maintenance activities
  • Perform diagnostics on subsea tooling, sensors, and communication systems
  • Assist in planning and execution of subsea intervention or construction tasks
  • Maintain detailed dive logs, maintenance records, and reports
  • Ensure compliance with safety, quality, and environmental regulations
  • Supervise and mentor junior ROV team members
