We’re seeking a passionate and flexible Chef to join our team in a dynamic roving role, providing coverage across our Sydney Metro locations during periods of leave and operational need.
In this role, you’ll support multiple sites including Surry Hills, Darlinghurst, Wahroonga, Lane Cove, Lewisham, Croydon, and Randwick. You’ll be expected to travel between these locations, bringing consistency, quality, and care to our culinary services wherever you go.
You will be managing the smooth operation of the home’s commercial kitchen and dining service, enabling our residents to enjoy a variety of fresh, nutritious meals on a daily basis. The dining experience for our residents is really important, meals needs to be creatively presented and tasty.

Responsibilities
  • Preparing fresh and nutritious meals for residents in line with their dietary needs
  • Managing all resources within the kitchen including equipment and food supplies within your approved budget
  • Maintaining a hygienically clean kitchen that is fully compliant with the Aged Care quality standards

To be successful in this role you’ll need

  • Unrestricted driving licence
  • A heart and passion for providing high quality care to the elderly
  • Strong communication skills and a positive attitude
  • Experience leading a team
  • Certificate IV in Hospitality (Commercial Cookery)
  • Basic Food safety Practices Certificate
  • Good understanding of food safety practices, kitchen cleanliness and hygiene
  • Understanding of Hazard Analysis and Critical Control Points (HACCP)
  • Demonstrated knowledge and understanding of workplace health and safety
  • An understanding of modified diets
  • Ability to work independently and part of a multi-disciplinary team
  • Able to establish and maintain professional and appropriate relationships with residents and their families
  • NDIS and Police check clearance or willing to obtain
